EMD GP40 production from April-December 1971 featured a different dynamic brake blister than that of earlier GP40s.  Its shape was between those of earlier GP40s and GP40-2s.  Units so equipped were: BO 4000-4064; CO 3780-3794, 4065-4089, & 4090-4099; DRGW 3086-3093; SCL 1633-1635; WM 3795-3799; and WP 3527-3544.  Fits Atlas Master HO GP40.  Can be used on the Athearn GP40-2 as well, for backdating projects.
